Lisan AI - FZE (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, process, store, and share data.

User Activity Information

Diagnostic and Device Data: this includes but is not limited to your browser type, browser version, your device’s IP address, the pages that you visit on our website, the date and time of your visit, and the time you spend during each visit. We also automatically collect your approximate geographic location from your IP address to provide better customized services.
We may collect more device data depending on the settings and type of your device.
User Content: This includes all documents and texts that you directly upload or enter when using our services and/or software.
If you have a corporate account, we will collect information regarding your team and how you interact with them on our platforms.

4- Information Sharing and Disclosure
This section describes when and how we may disclose your information to third parties. Please note that you have full control over who you want to share your information with and Lisan doesn’t have any control regarding this matter. We share your personal data in these cases:
When we use third-party service providers to support our business. These services may include but are not limited to hosting, virtual computing, email communication, and customer support. The service providers may only use your data in accordance with our policy and to perform their duties to us.
When we have the customer’s consent.
In case of potential violation of our Terms of Service, or to investigate and take action against any illegal activity, potential fraud, or threat.
When such information access and disclosure is required by any applicable law to either protect the rights of Lisan or respond to public authority requests such as the national security.
In case of a change of business. This includes engaging with a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization, sale of some or all of our assets or stock, public offering of securities, or steps in examination of such activities (e.g., due diligence).
If the data is aggregated, we may use it for business or research purposes.
Lisan's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to GoogleAPI Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5- Reviewing User Content
This section describes who can access and view the texts and documents you upload to our websites and/or platforms.
In general, Lisan employees won’t access or view any User Content stored, transferred, or directly uploaded to Lisan’s websites and/or software. However, User Content will be viewed if we notice a possible violation of our Terms of Service, any sort of illegal activity on our websites and/or software, if we have an obligation to review it as described in our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights and safety of Lisan and its users. We may also view User Content if it is necessary to fulfil your requests for support. Finally, we may use User Content to improve our algorithms.
6- Information Security
We value our users’ privacy and security and thus we take extreme measures on our website to protect user data. Our security measures protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure, misuse, or damage. However, we cannot 100% ensure the security of your information because data transmissions across the internet cannot be guaranteed.
7- Cookies and Tracking Data
Cookies are text files containing small pieces of data that get stored on your device. Web browsers use cookies to remember logins and account information and to deliver other personalized content. Lisan uses cookies and other tracking techniques like web beacons to collect data that helps us provide our services. We may also use the collected data to present relevant ads to our products and services.
8- Children’s Privacy Policy
Lisan doesn’t deliberately collect any information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has uploaded or submitted any personal information to our websites and/or platforms without their consent, they should contact our team at privacy@lisan.ai. Upon determination of such cases, Lisan will try its best to remove any collected information of children under the age of 12 form our systems. Please note that parents and legal guardians are encouraged to monitor their children’s internet use and that Lisan won’t be held responsible for any unreported or undiscovered cases of children personal data submission to our websites and/or platforms. 9- Changing the Privacy Policy
Lisan may occasionally update or change its Privacy Policy. This change is necessary in two cases. The first case is when laws, regulations, and industry standards evolve. The second case is when we make changes to our business. We will inform our customers of any Privacy Policy changes by email. In addition, we will post the updates on this Privacy Policy page. 11- Browser (e.g. Chrome) Extension Data Collection and Use
The Lisan browser extension collects and processes data only as necessary to provide its core functionality and only after explicit user interaction. Types of Data Collected We may collect the following data:

* Account-related information (if the user is logged in)
Non-Personal / Technical Data:
* Browser type and version
* Extension version
* Device type
* Diagnostic and error logs We do NOT collect personal data unless it is necessary to perform a user-requested action. Browsing Data The extension does NOT: * Collect or store full browsing history
* Track user activity across websites
* Monitor browsing behavior without user interaction We only access page content when the user explicitly activates the extension (e.g., selecting text or clicking the extension).
Purpose of Data Use
All collected data is used strictly for: * Providing the extension’s functionality

For the Lisan Chrome Extension, we prominently disclose that:

data is not collected in the background for advertising or profiling purposes

The Lisan Chrome Extension uses user data only as needed to provide or improve its user-facing functionality. Lisan does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to that functionality, including advertising, creditworthiness evaluation, or sale to data brokers.
